A quick recomendation, if you plan to visit Hoi An: The Phuoc An Hotel. Really nice hotel, friendly and cool staff, good breakfast, cheap beer and free internet. You’l find it in Tran Cao Van street, a quick walk out of the city center.
We’ve tried a few things so far, including a few different soups which were really great, but my favouritte so far: Cao lầu, a Hoi An speciality! Absolutely delicious. The dish one the photo was awesome as well, but I’ve forgot the name :]
So far, I haven’t seen alot, but fact is, that Vietnamese people are extremely friendly and kind. They always talk to you with a smile on their faces and they always try to help you, if you’ve got a problem - no matter what. Okay, very often they try to sell you something, but even […]

Hong Kong -> Ho Chi Min City
Ho Chi Mih City -> Da Nang
Wow! Long day
Anyway, as […]

A month ago, Steve decided to stay a few days longer in Vietnam and rebooked his outbound flight so that he’ll arrive a few days earlier than me. After a bit trouble with overbooked flights (and a free business class update for his HKG to SGN flight) he finally arrived in Ho Chi Minh City. […]
Hey friends, it’s time to Introduce my Travelmate Steve, who had the idea for this trip. We met last October in Krakow during the Eastern Europe Backpacking Tour I did with Dan. Really cool guy and hard drinking, what is of course very important on a man’s trip. Say hi, Steve.
Yeeehaaa, the next trip is around the corner. Just a few days left for a meeting with Steve in Vietnam! Right now I’m doing some changes/improvements on this very site to allow a full coverage of my first trip to Asia. The trip is just something around 10 days, but I’m already so excited! We’ve […]
